Prairie State Legal Services and HomeStart are holding an art contest for children kindergarten through 5th grade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Federal Fair Housing Act. The contest will bring awareness to children and their families on the importance of an inclusive community. Freeport children will have the opportunity to learn about diversity, discrimination in housing, and a basic knowledge of the Fair Housing Act through an interactive coloring book.
