The Community Foundation of Northern Illinois and HomeStart will accept applications between February 11 and April 1, 2019 for the Neighborhood Grants Program. For more information about the grants click here.
HomeStart looks for projects that:
- Encourage partnerships between residents, businesses, non-profits and institutions (e.g., schools) within the neighborhood;
- Are generated, led, and executed by residents of the neighborhood to the extent possible; and
- Build on the assets existing in the neighborhood, including using the skills of residents, involving youth or working with an existing neighborhood group.
The maximum amount granted by the Neighborhood Grants Program is $2,500.

We will be holding two sessions at our Rockford Office (803 N Church St) on February 13th, the first from 12:15pm-12:45pm, and the second from 5:30pm-6:00pm, one informational session at our Freeport office (307 W Main St) on February 19th from 1:00pm-2:00pm, and another informational session at Rochelle City Hall in the Council Chambers (420 N 6th St) on February 20th from 12:00pm-12:30pm.
